![]() ![]() to stop recording, press the same shortcut keys again, and a similar pop-up should tell you that the recording has been saved. press your shortcut keys, and a little pop-up should show momentarily in the top right corner to let you know that you’ve started recording (this won’t show up on your finished recording, don’t worry). staying in tab mode whilst recording is preferable, seeing as your screen recorder will record your entire screen, including the ui. Now, to start recording your screen, simply launch the game and get your desired framing. just make sure it doesn’t conflict with any shortcut in game, as that might be inconvenient. ![]() mine is set to ctrl+r, but it can be anything you want really. the only one you really need to worry about for this purpose is the “toggle manual recording on/off and save” shortcut under record. You can adjust your shortcuts by clicking the settings button in the in-game overlay section, then going to keyboard shortcuts. make sure that the “in-game overlay” is enabled. to enable the in-game overlay, simply click on the little settings cogwheel to the top right next to your user. you’re going to need to create a new user if you don’t already have one, but if you play games, you definitely should, because this is also where you’d go to keep your driver up to date. The geforce experience program should be installed on your computer by default if you have an nvidia graphics card, so simply search for it. the trial version is completely free and lasts for an unlimited time, but only has a maximum recording time of three minutes that should be plenty for our purposes, though!įor this tutorial, we’ll be using the geforce experience overlay, but if you have any questions regarding fonepaw, feel free to ask! i personally use the in-game overlay from geforce experience, but if you don’t have an nvidia graphics card, i’d recommend fonepaw screen recorder.
